Hidden Greens Chocolate Shake

Adopted from No Excuses Detox


Delightful way to eat leafy greens and avocado for breakfast. Even fooled my picky eater who hates avocado!


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 tbsp chia or flax seeds

  • Handful or 2 of leafy greens

  • 1/4 avocado

  • 2-3 tbsp cacao powder

  • 1 tbsp cashew or other nut butter

  • 1 tsp (or splash) of vanilla extract

  • 1 scoop collagen powder or other neutral-tasting protein

  • 3-5 Medjool Dates, pitted

  • 1.5-2 cups ice

Instructions:

  • Add the water, seeds, greens, avocado, cacao, nut butter, vanilla, protein/collagen and 3 dates to the blender.

  • Blitz until smooth. Taste and determine if more dates are needed.

  • When pleased, add the ice and blitz again until smooth. Enjoy!
